Most people would be over the moon to win a free holiday to the Caribbean; however Kevin Blandford is not one of those people.

Because, when the 33-year-old bagged the dreamy all-expenses-paid trip, he couldn’t take his beloved wife and daughter with him.

And it meant he wound up feeling miserable the entire time, bless him.

He took to Reddit to share his hilarious holiday snaps and, within four hours, the thread was at the top of the site with more than 1600 comments.

“Won a trip to Puerto Rico and couldn’t take my wife,” he wrote as a headline.

“Didn’t have a single second of fun."

He explained further: “I have a 6 month old, she didn’t want to be away from her for that long and taking her made things very complicated with the type of trip it was.”

When asked about the photos, Kevin told The Mail Online: “It’s pretty surreal. I didn’t think that it was going to blow up like it did.”

His wife Bonnie added: “I know he truly wanted me there, but was accompanied by the next best person and I know too well they enjoyed visiting very much. I did appreciate the joke and their efforts.”

Joke or not, his super-sweet message is pretty clear: Paradise is wherever your loved ones are.
