According to reports, 28-year-old Ralph Clemens violated his house arrest, leaving his residence and walking to a restaurant very popular with families.
Once there, he ordered a large pepperoni pizza and $20 in game tokens - the latter of which he proceeded to hand out to the children gathered around the ‘arcade’ section of the Alabama restaurant.
Clemens proceeded to climb into a claw machine, where he invited children to use their new tokens to play a game of his own invention; “Catch Ralphie And Bring Him Home.”
Thankfully, Clemens’s tracking bracelet alerted police and they quickly arrived at the restaurant, putting an end to the disturbing game.
After cuffing and removing Clemens from the vicinity, police questioned all of the children present at the incident, to ensure that none of them had been violated.
Thankfully, none of them had been harmed.
One little girl, who had been given money to play ‘Catch Ralph’, told Now8News.com: “He said his name was Ralphie and he wanted to play a game.
“He said the first child to lift the wig off of his head with the claw gets to come home with him.
“He said he has a house full of stuffed animals and ice cream! Oh and a pony with rainbow hair too!”
Sgt. William Heights, one of the police officers attending the scene, was horrified by just how many children so readily believed Clemens’s claims.
He said: “Of course the kids were going to go with him. Who doesn’t like a house full of stuffed animals and ice cream and rainbow ponies.
“I just hope these kids learned a valuable lesson from all this.”
Clemens has since been escorted back to prison to serve out the remainder of his probation, which will be approximately five years.
