The footballers, who all play for the Premier League team filmed themselves having sex with three Thai women - during which they are heard making vile racist comments to them.

During the video, one of the men can be heard saying: ‘Come on, you slit-eye’ while late describing one of the women as ‘minging…an absolute one out of ten.’

The men in question are Tom Hopper, Adam Smith and James Pearson - who is the son of manager Nigel Pearson.

They have now been sent home early from the tour of Thailand, and have apparently apologised for their actions.

‘A formal process of investigation will be undertaken with the players in conjunction with their representatives and, as such, not further comment can be made at this stage,’ a statement from the club read.

‘Leicester City remains wholly committed to promoting equality in football and in wider society and to our players recognising they responsibilities as role models to young people.’

Many football fans have reacted with outrage at the footage, with one tweeting: ‘What an image for the team. Vile. #lcfc Hope your internal investigation is meaningful.’

Others wrote simply: ‘They should be sacked.’
