Paralympic athlete Oscar is currently on trial for the murder of girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day last year.
Oscar allegedly shot model Reeva after mistaking her for an intruder.
As a pathologist read out evidence from Reeva’s post-mortem, Pistorius was heard repeatedly vomiting into a bucket as he listened.
Proceedings had to be temporarily suspended twice due to the sound of Pistorius throwing up.
The post-mortem evidence revealed that the 29-year-old model was shot in the hip, the temple and the elbow through a door with a 9mm pistol.
The autopsy also revealed that Reeva passed away quickly from her injuries.
Pathologist Professor Saayman reportedly had concerns over filming of his testimony due to the graphic content.
He told the court: ‘The graphic details have the potential to damage the dignity of the deceased’ and would ‘harm the rights of the remaining friends and relatives of the deceased.’
He then added: ‘It goes against the good morals of society to make this information available, to unsuspecting members of the public, including children and other vulnerable people.’
If Oscar is convicted of Reeva’s murder he may receive a life sentence with a minimum of 25 years.
The trial continues.
