Prosecutor Gerrie Nel began the last two days of the trial today as he claimed Pistorius shot and killed Steenkamp deliberately, calling him a 'deceitful witness,' whose testimony was 'absolutely devoid of any truth.'
OSCAR PISTORIUS'S BROTHER CRITICALLY INJURED IN CAR CRASH
Nel added that there were 'glaring contradictions' in the runner's story on the night of Reeva's murder, and accused the Paralympian of drawing on anxiety to concoct the picture of a vulnerable individual.
Tomorrow Pistorius's lawyer Barry Roux will seek to convince the Judge of the athlete's innocence, drawing on the fact that his client is a highly anxious person, paranoid about crime, and in a country where home invasions, kidnappings and shootings are common.
OSCAR PISTORIUS TWEETS FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE MURDER TRIAL
This morning both Pistorius's and Steenkamp's father have appeared in court for the first time since the case began. Oscar's brother Carl however, who has been present for most of the trial, will be notably absent as he was seriously injured in a car crash at the weekend.
Gerrie Nel suggested in his speech that Pistorius 'tailored his version' of events, and that is how the inconsistencies in his evidence have arisen.
