Daequan George was last seen in Tottenham, North London, at around 8pm on Thursday evening. But after failing to return home following playing football, his parents panicked.

The boy did not return home overnight, with concern growing this morning that the child has been abducted.

Police issued a missing child appeal with George's description - explaining that he was a black male, 4ft 8ins, of medium build and with short black hair.

Scotland Yard then made house-to-house enquiries this morning when there was still no sign of the boy.

Luckily, George has been located in the Tottenham area at 11.30 Friday morning, to the relief of his family and friends.

A similar case in Australia last month shocked the world, after a three-year-old girl returned home following 48 hours missing.

Her parents panicked when they awoke to find Chloe Campbell missing from her bed, but she was found two days later alive and well - albeit exhausted from her ordeal.
