A mum-of-one has managed to move from her one-bedroom flat into a two-bedroom family home just from using coupons.

Over the past five years Laura Carrington has saved between an impressive £6,000 and £10,000 by using online freebie sites and coupons from magazines.

The 36-year-old confessed that she's always been a smart shoppe, beginning her coupon obsession when she was pregnant with her now five-year-old daughter Regan.

After searching the internet for free stuff, she entered a competition and won a year's supply of toilet roll and from there her obsession continued, within three weeks she got 60 bottles of fabric conditioner after seeing Tesco had a £1 off a Lenor product in the in-store magazine.

The mum-of one has admitted that she still uses the fabric conditioner, saying: "They've gone a bit gloopy, but if you shake them they're fine."

Laura revealed that although she's a shop worker she still spends three hours a week on the internet looking for coupons on websites such as Supersavvyme.co.uk.

Laura's fiancé Sam Chamberlain understands her addiction and as a Valentines gift he bought her a subscription to Sainsbury's magazine. The pair are set to marry within three years and they'll either have Laura's dream wedding in Rowton castle in Shrewbury or a "full on couponing style wedding."

Even though they're a family of three Laura has admitted that their household goods cost is between £60-£100: "We spend half what an average family does, just by savvy spending."

Laura also confessed that she doesn't drive because it's expensive, however her friends and family don't mind driving her to shops as long as they can get some free goodies too.

One of the things Laura scrimps on is bread: "I won't pay more than 50p for a loaf of bread. I know you can get bread loaves for that much, so even if it's 60p with a coupon I won't buy it."

And she's a very smart food shopper, choosing to go at a certain time: "Every Sunday evening, I go to three Tesco Expresses because their bread and fruit and vegetables will go down to pennies as they reach their sell-by-date."

And after she's bought her boxed milk, fruit and vegetables she'll put the bread in the freezer as it will last longer.

We're sure we could learn a lot from her.
