Farmer Tao Lu was expecting his sow to give birth to a litter of piglets - although he never could have expected that one of them would find worldwide fame.
One of the last to be born in the littler of 19, the mutated piglet definitely caught peoples attention.
Wu Kung, 32, who saw the unfortunate creature firsthand, said: "I was one of a dozen people who went there to see the piglet, and it really did have human face and exactly like he said, a penis growing out of its forehead."
Photos of the newborn mutant soon went viral, and Tao quickly found himself inundated with cash offers from people desperate to give the piglet a home.
The 40-year-old farmer told CEN: "It was a large litter, and the mutant was one of the last of 19 piglets to be born.
"All the others were normal, just this one was really bizarre."
But, whilst the farmer intended to put the little piglet on display in a bid to attract visitors, it was not meant to be.
Sadly the little piglet died after being rejected by its mother and refusing to drink from a bottle.
Tao said: "It is a shame it died, I could have got more money for it than for the rest of the family put together based on what people were offering me on the phone."
