Mumsnet users have hit out at baby clothing shop after baby grow with offensive slogan goes viral

A Mumsnet user has sent the forum site into a spin with a single photo.

User Jarhead123 uploaded a photo to a new thread entitled "To think this babygrow is awful!" with a photo of an item of children's clothing that she found VERY offensive.

She wrote: "Cringe!" alongside the photo which was of a baby grow in a shop with the branding blurred out.

But it's not the baby grow itself that users had a problem with - they took issue with the slogan that was printed on it.

The sleep suit, which looked to be no bigger than a three-month-old, read: "All mummy wanted was a back rub."

Users of Mumsnet exploded with rage on the site, with many slamming the sexual nature of the clothing, which was apparently found in B&M.

One mum wrote: "If 'Mummy' did not want sex, then she was raped," with another adding: "Oh that babygro is so offensive on several levels, and one commenting: "What a horrible thing to put a beautiful baby in."

But others saw a funny side to the baby grow, hitting back at the haters on the same forum.

One wrote: "Ffs. Does no one on here realise that they are meant as gag gifts! They do not make it seem like the mother was raped," whilst another commented: "Maybe they think other people have a sense of humour? Personally if my husband chooses to put the massage one on my daughter I'm fine with it. I think people being grossed out is a major over reaction."

What do you think?
