With their identical peroxide locks, svelte size eight figures and matching youthful complexions, mum Janet Horrocks and daughter Jane Cunliffe regularly get mistaken for sisters.
But while 57-year-old Janet revels in the attention she gets after spending a whopping £35,000 on her image overhaul -including a nose job, eyelift, veneers and regular Botox and fillers - Jane, 35, hates the fact her mum has so obsessively copied her image.
Jane - who lives in Burnley, Lancashire, with her six-month-old daughter - says:
“Mum has completely copied my look and gone over the top. She needs to accept she’s 22 years older than me and grow old gracefully. I worry if she keeps going with surgery she’ll look fake.
"She wants my life and I don’t think it’s normal - I hate it.
"We used to go on nights out together and loads of people would say we looked like sisters. Mum loved it but the attention made me feel self-conscious. And it upset me when people said Mum looked younger than me.
"I worry about her going under the knife, too - it can’t be good for her health.”
Single Janet- who pays for her surgery using savings- has Botox and fillers every six months costing £400-a-time, adds: “I don’t care what anyone else thinks about my surgery - I do it to make myself feel good.
"Before, I felt frumpy and old and now I feel so much more confident. Jane is young and glamorous, so why wouldn’t I want to look like her?
“I get more male attention now and I’ve dated a few younger men. No-one can tell my real age. I know Jane doesn’t agree with me copying her look, but I’ll do what makes me feel happy.”
