Hayley Peck, 24, made the decision to get back in shape after the birth of her daughter, Sienna Rose, in 2007 at which point she weighed 21 stone and was a size 24.
'I didn't want to be a fat mum for my daughter, so I completely changed my lifestyle'
Hayley, who had always stuggled with her weight, would often snack of several bags of crisps each day and indulge in regular takeaways. Even as a teen, with her confidence bashed by being seen as 'the fat kid', she stuggled with self control and would seek out sweets and crisps as comfort.
It was only after the birth of her first child that Hayley found the resolve to kick her bad habits to the curb. While she had attempted a gym regime before falling pregnant, this time around she was determined to get the body she had always dreamt of.
Hayley says 'I was ready to change and my mindset supported my vision- I wanted to be an active Mum and not be afraid of being pointed at or feel people were whispering and looking at me all the time. At that moment enough was enough and I came to the conclusion... if I want it I will have it.
Hayley believes the key to achieving her weight loss goals was not allowing herself to feel she was on a diet.
She allowed herself to eat carbs until 3pm, after which point she would be carb free. And she would eat three balanced meals a day with two healthy snacks - rather than the several helpings of crisps and chocolate she would eat every day.
She would also allow herself to indulge if she was craving a naughty treat, but rather than consume a whole packet of crisps she would have a few and then give the pack away.
After just over a year on her no-diet plan, Hayley had shed 11 stone and was weighing in at 9 stone 5, giving her a healthy BMI for her 5'5 height.
And now Hayley has set up her own website, Slimspirational, on which she offers tips, advice, recipes and personalised healthy eating programmes to other women looking to lose weight.
Hayley says 'When I weighed 21 stone I was really depressed. I didn't want to go anywhere and I was too embarrassed to go out with my daughter or have my picture taken.
'I decided I didn't want to be a fat mum for my daughter, Sienna, so I completely changed my lifestyle.
'After losing the weight I was flooded with messages from people asking for tips and advice - and I just wanted to help them.
