The mother-son team behind a Kent based sex shop have become the first official UK sellers of sex robots.
Tracey Whitmore and her son Christopher have acquired the second UK license to sell a "realist" kinky robot, which is priced at £3,500.
The robot, "Samantha", appeared on This Morning earlier this month with creator Arran, who told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that the robot has met his family.
Now the robots are available to the public, and will be sold at the Vibes Adult Boutique in Aylesford, Kent.
"Samantha" has "different personalities" and will be perfect for lonely men or couples, says Tracey, who is critical of the less sophisticated sex dolls.
"Sex dolls have always been a problem in terms of getting a realistic one."
"You have your blow-up ones that look comical and cost between £20 and £100."
But Samantha is different, Tracey claims.
"She has a family mode where she will be able to give facts about various things and talk about philosophy."
“She can tell jokes and she can’t just accidentally go into sex mode.”
And she explains the clientele have different needs than you might expect - ones which aren't purely sexually.
"The people who buy these dolls are usually lonely people that are looking for companionship and something for a sexual purpose."
