The parents of Britain's biggest family said they were 'thrilled' to be adding to their big family.

Speaking to The Sun, 39-year-old Sue said: "We are really, really excited. It is the best news I could hope for after a difficult year. It feels like a blessing."

She tragically lost their baby, Alfie 21 weeks into the pregnancy in June this year.

While Sue, who is 14 weeks gone, and Noel, 43, are over-the-moon with their happy news, she insisted it will be their last.

"We weren't planning on getting pregnant so quickly. I wasn't sure it would happen, to be honest," she said.

"But we are glad it has and the children are all really happy. This will be the last, 18 is enough. I've had morning sickness but it has stopped so now I am just waiting for the cravings."

Sue and Noel are already parents to Chris, 25, Sophie, 21, Chloe, 19, Jack, 17, Daniel, 15, Luke, 14, Millie, 13, Katie, 12, James, 11, Ellie, nine, Amiee, eight, Josh, seven, Max, six, Tillie, four, Oscar, three and two-year-old Casper.

But the family are completely self-sufficient and run their own bakery to cover their costs.

Sue continued: "It's hard at times and I know some people say things about how big our family is. We always wanted a big family because Noel and I didn't have a large family unit."

Because of what happened with her last pregnancy, Sue has been told to rest as much as she can. But she said: "Everything is fine."
