Recently on This Morning we saw Matt and Adele Allen from Brighton defend their Off-Grid parenting choices.

The couple caused controversy with viewers at home, revealing that they favour an ‘all natural’ approach to parenting; meaning that they don’t believe in discipline, medicine or the mainstream education system.

They have two children, five-year-old Ulysses and one-year-old Ostara, who ran around the studio whilst Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes were interviewing their parents.

Ostara even appeared to go to the toilet on the studio floor, with Adele and Matt not batting an eyelid.

The couple have no plans to send their children to school unless ‘they show an interest in going’, have never taken their children to a doctor – believing that breastmilk or fasting can heal almost anything - and use breastmilk to soothe eye infections and give their children lemon juice if they have a cold.

And now Adele has hit back at the barrage of criticism on her Facebook page, writing: “Well done to Ulysses and poorly Ostara for putting up with the media chaos today...

"And Ostara did have a nappy on today but shock horror sometimes they leak!! #herecomethetrolls.‬”

But now the couple have reached out to the public to fund a £100,000 move to Costa Rica.

In a request on the website Fund My Travel, the pair are seeking handouts to buy a plot of land where they ‘can grow food, and have access to wildlife and nature in it's natural state.’

The opening paragraph of their plea states: “Hi, we're Matt & Adele Allen.

“We firmly believe that there are alternative parenting ways & you don't have to conform to what's expected. We have an all natural approach to parenting and are reaping the benefits.

Our ultimate goal is to become self - sufficient, the way of making that happen is by moving to Costa Rica and buying a big plot of land where we can grow food, and have access to wildlife and nature in it's natural state.”

Those who donate will also receive a copy of their book, which they are currently writing.

However, the funding page has only raised £17 so far (at time of writing), which is less than 1% of their final goal.
