E’Dena Hines was fatally stabbed on Sunday morning in the American metropolis, with Freeman and his first wife Jeanette releasing a statement on the tragic incident.

‘The world will never know her artistry in talent, and how much she had to offer,’ read his statement.

Her ex boyfriend was, according the the Mail Online, found standing over her body and screaming.

A 30-year-old man was arrested at the scene of the actress’s stabbing, and an investigation is ongoing into the incident.

Since the tragic news broke of the murder, it has been reported that it was her boyfriend, Lamar Davenport, who has been arrested on suspicion of murder - with witnesses on the scene hearing him shouting about devils and Jesus on the night of the murder.

According to a neighbour, Davenport was heard shouting 'Get out, devils. In the name of Jesus Christ, I cast you out' as he stood over E'Dena's lifeless body.
