‘Now we have no news, and everyone is understandably worried. The relatives say they will go to the (Malaysian) embassy to find the ambassador.’

One woman said: ‘Since they haven’t given us the truth about those people’s lives, all of us are protesting’

Not knowing the what has happened to their loved ones is understandably taking its toll on the passenger’s relatives.

‘All the relatives are facing mental breakdowns,’ one family member said.

The plane disappeared on Saturday 8 March. The latest news from the search is that investigators believe the flights communications had been switched off deliberately.

The homes of the pilots are now being searched and 15% of the planet’s surface is now being scoured for signs of the lost plane.
