15-year-old Millie Robson was seriously injured in the Manchester attack after winning VIP tickets to Ariana Grande's concert

Millie Robson was attending Ariana Grande's concert two weeks ago with her friend Laura Anderson when they were both caught in the blast.

They were terrifyingly separated and sent to different hospitals, with neither knowing whether the other was ok.

Thankfully, they survived - although they both have lasting injuries - and bravely attended the tribute One Love Manchester concert last night in the city.

Speaking to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning earlier today, determined Millie said how she'd been nervous to attend the concert, but knew it was something she needed to do: "I was slightly nervous but I was mainly excited just to see everyone but at the same time pay my respects to people who weren’t as lucky as me and Laura."

The brave girl, who is just 15, spoke with a maturity beyond her years as she stoically said she would not let the attack ruin her life.

She said: "I think if we from now on feel something bad will happen, we'll just sit in the house all day. You can't let fear get in the way."

Millie went on to relive the traumatic moments as she explained what had happened on that terrible night from her perspective.

She said: "I just remember me and Laura walking out and then my dad and his partner were on the stairs.

"They started waving at us and we ran a little bit to them and it exploded. I thought it was a speaker at first or some sort of technical problem but it wasn't. I just remember my ears ringing and everything was muffled.

"I had a skirt on at the concert so I only saw I had two holes in my kness. At the hospital they found there was a bolt in one of them and a piece of metal went through my tendon."

Millie was lucky enough to meet the Queen during her time in hospital, who travelled up to Manchester to meet the injured children from the blast on 22 May.

Unfortunatly, she was discharged before her hero, Ariana Grande, made the same trip - missing out on meeting her by just a couple of days.

But the power of social media was the silver lining as the hashtag #GetAriToMillie was started and the two were able to meet at the One Love Manchester concert last night.

Millie posted photos of her meeting her idol on Twitter, with the caption: "I love you so much, you're my everything, thank you for tonight💗💗💗💗"

She also spoke to ITV after last night's concert, saying it had been therapeutic for her: "If I didn't come, I would have regretted it so much because it was a chance for me to show my respects for people but at the same time, personally, it was really refreshing and obviously not have anything bad happen."
