Fidel Lopez killed girlfriend Maria Nemeth after she accidentally screamed her ex husband’s name during sex.
Knocking the 31-year-old unconscious, Lopez violated his partner with several objects before using his hands to disembowel her.
Eventually calling 911, Lopez tried to revive Nemeth’s limp and lifeless body by splashing water on her face, but this was to no avail.
During the frenzied attack, which occurred after the couple had engaged in rough sex in their Florida apartment, Lopez also shattered a sliding door, punched holes in the wall and ripped a door off its hinges.
Before police arrived, Lopez washed his hands, had a cigarette and then told police his lover wasn’t breathing.
Maria was pronounced dead 30 minutes after paramedics arrived on the scene, finding her naked in a pool of her own blood.
Lopez originally claimed he had nothing to do with Maria’s death, but later admitted he had become enraged when she called out her ex husband’s name during lovemaking.
The 24-year-old was arrested on a first degree murder charge on Sunday and is being held in custody.
