Adam, from East London, told News Dog Media: “We’re just like any other family. Except in ours, there’ll be one dad and two mums who live under the same roof – and there’ll be nothing but love for our children.”
The 34-year-old was introduced to girlfriend Brook Shedd by his ex-wife in 2001 - and the pair soon began sleeping with each other regularly.
Before too long, Adam had moved in with Brooke and her son, Oliver.
But, despite the pair being in love, they realised they weren’t ready to stop seeing other people.
He said: “It was amazing to be living with Brooke now and I loved hanging out with her and her son, Oliver.
“We have a California Kingsize bed for all three of us because a normal double bed is not enough"
“But after trying marriage out, I didn’t want to limit myself to being with just one person ever again.
“I loved the polyamorous lifestyle because it’s okay to date someone else if one partner can’t provide exactly what you need at that time.”
Brooke, a 26-year-old from Texas, USA, felt the same, and explained: “Equally although I loved Adam, I didn’t want to stop seeing other women.
“I really pushed for us to have an open relationship too. So Adam and I decided to work as a team and pick up girls to have sex with together.
“The first time we slept with another woman was when we went to a strip club and picked up one of the strippers working there.”
Adam added: “We ended up checking in to a hotel and having two nights of incredible sex. I barely slept the whole time!
“Most of the time, Brooke and I slept with women together. But there was one occasion when I had sex with another girl during a work trip.
“I made sure to tell Brooke about it before and we were texting each other throughout which was kind of funny.”
Adam and Brooke continued having casual threesomes together but were also looking for a third woman to permanently join their relationship.
And, in April 2013, the duo met photographer, Jane - and something clicked between the three of them.
The trio began meeting for sex regularly, but also made time to spend quality time together.
Before too long, they realised they were in love.

As their relationship became more serious, Adam and Brooke even wound up introducing Jane into Oliver’s life.
Brooke said of her son’s relationship with Jane: “Oliver loved [her] from the get-go. She has kind of become my son’s favourite person, which was a bit heart-breaking for me initially!
“Jane has taken on the role of being Oliver’s friend, like a cool aunt to him. I knew that we could all be a happy family together.”
After a year of living as a trio, Adam and Brooke just gave birth to a baby boy, Dante, in February and they hope to raise him together with Jane. Adam and Brooke strongly believe that three parents are better than two.
Brooke said firmly: “What’s the difference between explaining to your kid that they have a mum and a dad or that they have three parents that love him?
“I’m so protective of my children. I feel so lucky that Oliver and Dante will have two other parents who immediately care for him. That means so much to me.”
But, while they are all parents now, the trio are still keen to keep the flames alive in their romantic relationships.
Jane said: “We have a California Kingsize bed for all three of us because a normal double bed is not enough.
“We all have separate blankets because it’s difficult with one sheet. It can get insanely warm and sweaty sleeping in one bed together.”
The throuple always work hard to ensure that they each get a set date night per week - and occasionally still like to involve a fourth partner in their sex life.
Adam said: “Every so often, Jane, Brooke and I like to pick up another girl. Recently, we all had sex with a female bartender we knew – it was a crazy night of debauchery.”
Meanwhile, the East Londoner has revealed that he, Brooke and Jane are also open to the possibility of adding a permanent, fourth partner to their throuple.
Brooke says: “We are committed to each other. But we would be open to adding another person if we met another girl who we liked and fitted into our lifestyle.
“It’s not something we’re concerned about at the moment, you can’t instantly introduce someone to your life.
“In the same way that it’s hard to find one person to commit your life to – there’s three of us who have to agree to the next person.”
