Romantic Ed Grant made his proposal particularly special due to his new fiancee’s love of pugs.
The lucky lady, Alexandra Justins, does not own a pug but her other half said ‘I have never seen Alex happier than when she sees a pug so I thought I would make her super happy, and then I hoped even happier by proposing to her!’
Prior to arriving in New York, Ed contacted the New York City Pug Meetup Group for some help in organizing the fantastic proposal. 16 pug owners agreed to show up at a location in Central Park. The dogs arrived with heart shaped balloons attached to their collars, suggesting that something romantic was about to happen.
Ed revealed: ‘Alex was overwhelmed and I think the penny dropped that something was about to happen, especially as there was a huge crowd of people all with their camera phones ready.’
Happily, Alex said ‘yes’ to the cute proposal and the newly engaged couple headed out for some drinks with fellow pug enthusiasts to celebrate. 10 of the pug owners joined in with the festivities along with their new pug friends- Poppy, Mr. Shiznit, Gus, Hamilton, Finn, Ed, Annabelle and Bailey!
