A man has been charged after the horrific murder of grandfather Donald Lock.

Donald was brutally stabbed multiple times after his car collided with another on the A24 on Thursday evening. A huge manhunt was launched and on Friday, a man was arrested on suspicion of his murder.

It’s now been confirmed that the man that was arrested, Matthew Daley, has been charged with his murder. Daley, 34, of Worthing, has also been charged with possession of a knife in a public place. He is expected to appear at Crawley Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Tributes have poured in over the weekend for Don – who was a keen cyclist – with his wife paying tribute to her husband of 55 years while laying flowers at the place he died.

Sussex Police now say Don’s family “have asked that they be left to grieve”.
