From January to February 2014, the pair engaged in sexual activity on a daily basis, until a Centrelink worker discovered the horrific truth and reported the man.
At the time of his discovery, the 27-year-old was trying to get registered as the girl’s legal guardian so he could obtain welfare benefits.
Police report that the girl has expressed ‘a strong desire to start a family’ with the man.
