Yamato Tonooka is missing in Japan after his parents punished him by leaving him alone in a forest.
His parents originally told authorities that they were collecting vegetables when the boy disappeared however they later confessed that they left him alone to punish him for his bad behaviour.
Reports say that the seven-year-old was throwing stones at people and cars which led to his parents punishing him.
The parents confessed to teach their son a lesson they drove 500 meters away from where they left their son but when they returned they could not find him.
Yamato’s father said: “I wanted to discipline him, so made him get out of the car to scare him a bit. He’s an active, lively boy, but I’m worried how he’s doing."
Over 100 firefighters and police officers as well as members of the local community are currently searching for the young boy.
