One mum has set up her own business… creating jewellery and souvenirs from breast milk.
Vickie Krevatin set up the online business- naming it ‘Mom’s Own Milk’- in 2013, charging mums between £10 and £150 for the unique gifts.
Mothers can send of samples of their breastmilk which is then solidified and made into a locket, necklace or ring.
She told the Mail Online: “I know what I do is offensive to some people, who tell me it's disgusting. However, I am getting more orders than ever."
A breastfeeding advocate, Vickie reportedly still nurses her four-year-old son five times a day.
Vickie writes on her website: "For many mothers, breastfeeding a newborn baby is an unforgettable and rewarding experience that not only provides immeasurable health benefits for mother and child but also strengthens that mother-child bond.
"Breastfeeding is not always an easy path to follow and many mothers have to overcome, what seems like, insurmountable obstacles to give their beloved baby the best start in their life and it is one of the most selfless acts."
She also makes products out of hair, placenta, ashes and umbilical chords.
