Millican, 38, won support from thousands of women when she spoke of how Twitter trolls left her devastated by criticising her appearance on the night.
The comedian spoke of how the harsh comments slamming her weight and choice of outfit were like a 'pin to my excitable red balloon' at a time when she should have been celebrating a wonderful occasion.
'I was fat and ugly as per usual…I looked like a nana, my dress was disgusting, was it made out of curtains, why was I wearing black shoes with it,' Millican wrote for the Radio Times.
But in defiance of her critics, Sarah wore the same dress for this year's awards, just so she could make the point that she is first and foremost an entertainer; with getting dressed being a very small part of her day.
And now Katie Hopkins has waded into the issue, claiming Millican doesn't have a sense of humour if she can't deal with a little light criticism from the public.
'The fat brigade all think Sarah Millicent looked amazing. Like girl power. But fuelled by Boost bars'
'If you toddle down the red carpet, expect your look to be pulled apart. It is a market place. You are the product, the cameras your consumer' Hopkins tweeted.
