Kanye opened up about his musical and personal ambitions, daughter North West and his relationship with Kim Kardashian as well as giving some soundbites worthy of his, er, self-confident reputation!
'She's in a powerful enough situation that she could love me without asking for money.'
Not one to open up about his personal life willingly, when Zane asked Kanye what he liked most about girlfriend and mother of his child, Kim Kardashian, Kanye said "She gave me everything. She gave me a support system. She's in a powerful enough situation that she could love me without asking for money."
The rapper - who is currently involved in a legal case after attacking a paparazzi - went on to talk about his frustration at the business of picture selling that is fuelled by his famous family and wants in on the action.
Kanye explained he plans to ensure that by the time his daughter North is six she gets a cut of every picture sold of her.
He also talked about the challenges that faced him as a black artist, and how the path had been for him by Michael Jackson.
"I would not be Kanye West were it not for Michael Jackson – he had to fight to get his video played because he was black… for me in my life of creativity its been challenging, but I was able to ascend to massive level and heights…
There would be no Kanye West if it wasn't for Michael Jackson."
And, humble as ever, Kanye reminded Zane 'I'm the number one rock star on the planet…I have got to a point that Michael Jackson did not break down.
I have reached the glass ceiling. As a creative person, as a celebrity. I want to do product. I am a product person. not just clothing but water bottle design, architecture, everything you can think about'
