Forrest was jailed last year after pleading guilty to abduction and sexual contact with a child.
He was sentenced to five and a half years in prison and told he would not be allowed to contact the schoolgirl, who can’t be named for legal reasons.
The teacher and his former pupil had love letters intercepted following his imprisonment, but he maintained that continuing a relationship would be in the best interests for both of them.
The 32-year-old reportedly argued: “The reason why contact is so vital to us is because of the support and stability our relationship gives our lives.”

"Rehabilitation is my priority and it is the prison service’s obligation to support me in this the best way that they can.”
The schoolgirl- now 16- has since reportedly fallen for a boy closer to her own age, but the estranged couple wish to meet in order to seek ‘closure.’
“If it is for the girl’s benefit and well-being, then Jeremy would like this meeting to happen,” a source close to Forrest said.
“For the last eight months they have been trying to get this request granted and finally it looks like they are being taken seriously.”

“It is thought that such a meeting could give a lot of closure over the things that happened to them both,” the source added.
“It would only happen if both sides agreed and the girl was completely happy with it. There is absolutely no pressure from either side.”
