Moshe Feiglin, who is a member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's political party, posted the message to his Facebook page over the weekend - laying out a detailed plan for the total destruction of Gaza.

Feiglin expresses his desire for the Israeli Defence Force to establish 'tent encampments…until relevant emigration destinations are determined' for the Arab population within Gaza.

He adds that water and electricity should be disconnected, and that the strip should be 'shelled with maximum fire power.'

The politician continues that the IDF should then 'exterminate nests of resistance' and ship the people of Gaza across the world. Any who resist will be asked to sign a declaration of allegiance to Israel, and to carry an ID card- much like the Jews during the Holocaust.

Feiglin's post had received over 2,000 likes on the social network.

Since fighting broke out in the Gaza strip a month ago, over 1,800 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have lost their lives, as the estimated Israeli death toll has reached 67.

This morning Israel announced it would be withdrawing its troops to 'defensive positions' outside the Gaza strip, claiming their main aim of destroying tunnels used by Hammas has been achieved.

Sayeeda Warsi, foreign office minister in the tory government, dramatically resigned this morning over the policy on Gaza. She tweeted: 'With deep regret I have this morning written to the Prime Minister & tendered my resignation. I can no longer support the Govt policy on #Gaza.'
