St Loman’s psychiatric hospital was evacuated at 4pm today after staff received a letter contained a strange, white substance. The letter was addressed simply to “Medical Staff” and alongside the powder was a message that read: “ISIS is going to get you.”

The hospital, in Mullingar, was sealed off at 4pm and the bomb disposal squad disposed of the substance at around 5:30pm.

Although it’s not know if this was a serious threat or a sick hoax, neighbouring residents were horrified by news.

Almost 12 staff members were placed in quarantine after coming into contact with the powder.
