The burglar slipped into the family home through an unlocked first-storey window and, despite seemingly being aware of the surveillance cameras filming his every move, he continued on his quest.
What is more chilling, however, is the fact that footage showed the man walking in and out of the bedroom of a sleeping 2-year-old boy, hovering over the crib and pointing his torch into the sleeping child's face.
Speaking with American news site KHOU.com, the furious father revealed: “I was infuriated when I saw him walking back and forth in my baby’s room. My stomach was turning.
“My boy thought it was me so he went back to sleep. If he made noise or cried and I went upstairs, something else could happen.
He added emotionally: “He’s my world. I love him.”

It's enough to freeze the heart of any loving parent, isn't it?
The boy's father and mother had been sleeping upstairs at the time of the home invasion but, thankfully, the toddler was not harmed during the incident.
The suspect is believed to be responsible for a string of other burglaries in Katy, Texas and has yet to be apprehended.
