Kenny McSween, 38, was pounced on in the lobby of his apartment building in San Antonio. His attacker- who has not been named- pinned Mr McSween down and starting ‘gnawing’ his face in the bizarre 20 minute attack.

The horrendous incident occurred on September 20, causing McSween to suffer from severe facial injuries following the allegedly unprovoked attack.

The DJ- who is well known on the party island- claimed that his attacker was ‘growling like a wild animal’ and that he feared for his life.

Incredibly, when police did arrive they handcuffed Mr McSween and let his attacker go.

Mr McSween is usually used to dealing with rowdy clubbers

They later explained that they believed the attacker had mistaken McSween for an intruder causing him to violently try and ‘detain’ him.

A British Embassy spokesman told the Mirror: "We were informed of an incident in Ibiza involving a British national by a family member of theirs.

"Our staff were unable to speak to the individual directly as no contact details were provided but we are ready to provide assistance, if requested."

The incident comes over 3 years after a spate of similar attacks occurred in America, with police attributing the bizarre ‘face chewing’ to the use of dangerous ‘bath salt’ drugs.
