The subject of ‘body shaming’ has been brought under intense scrutiny over the past few weeks thanks to the controversial Protein World advert, with many people coming forward with their own experiences.

It seems that everyone- of all shapes or sizes- has been targeted by body shaming comments at some point.

Now ‘Human Barbie’ Valeria Lukyanova has blasted her own critics.

After taking a hiatus from the Internet following a brutal attack, she shared her own insecurities.

"It is a pity that most people choose instead the path of degradation," Valeria wrote. "I am certainly still far from ideal, very far.”

"But I strive for athleticism ... So funny that girls and boys from sporting groups write such nasty things about my body ... so much negativity."

Valeria has slammed 'negative' people

“After I was attacked and my face was injured, I decided to seek not just heal, but build good, strong muscles like a female Amazon warrior! I was inspired by the Queen of the Amazons - Medusa .... Her body is perfect, I think.”

She continued, adding that she was no longer scared of being attacked because of her body.

“I think, without exaggeration, that I can cope well if I was attack again. Now I have the strength to fight back.”
