The little girl reportedly climbed into the washing machine at Le's Washateria launderette in Pasadena, Texas before the door closed.

It has been reported that the woman who was with the girl had not been looking, leaving the 5-year-old to become trapped when the spin cycle was activated.

Unfortunately it took several minutes before anyone noticed she was stuck inside the washing machine.

Vance Mitchell of Pasadena Police said: “Unfortunately she spun around in that washing machine for several minutes and apparently it was on high speed. She was tumbling pretty fast in there.

“One person walked by and said they saw something flopping around in there. They thought it was just a dress or something because it was moving pretty fast.”
