Sadly the balmy temperatures we’ve been experiencing for the past week are about to subside, as the mercury drops to about 20C from Tuesday to Thursday.
But luckily, the sun is going to come out once more by Friday, with temperatures climbing a few degrees for the weekend.
And forecasters have predicted that this month we could be in for highs of 39C - hotter than any temperature ever recorded in Britain.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: ‘Temperatures in the north will be between 17 and 20C, while in the south we are going to see between 18 and 22C, maybe 24C - what you expect for this time of year.’
‘It will feel noticeably cooler in other parts of the UK, and temperatures could be slightly below average.’
Forecasters warn that parts of Scotland could even experience ground-frost in the morning, before the weekend when things will warm up significantly.
