Would you ever send your misbehaving children to this scissor-happy hairdresser?

It's always difficult to think up ways to teach your children not to misbehave; you can ground them, you can take away their playstation, you can remove their phone privileges, you can set them to work on washing your car...

Or you can publicly humiliate them.

Yup, nowadays plenty of parents are turning to Facebook and Twitter in a bid to shame their kids into good behaviour.

So it makes sense (sort of) that a handful of parents in Snellville, Georgia, are sending their little monsters to A-1 Kutz, where, for three days a week, they can get a free haircut that will make them look like an old man.

The cut involves shaving hair off the child's crown until he begins to resemble a balding man - kind of like scenes from Benjamin Button.

Supporters say it's the perfect punishment for misbehaving kids who want to "act grown."

Russell Frederick, the A-1 Kutz co-owner and a 34-year-old father of three, told The Washington Post that he decided to advertise the cut after he used the unique disciplinary measure on his 12-year-old son, Rushawn, — and saw immediate results.

Rushawn's grades, which had fallen, "dramatically skyrocketed" after he got his old-man haircut, Frederick claimed.

We imagine this might have had something to do with the little boy being too embarrassed to leave the house or the school library - nothing gets you studying hard like trying to avoid the school bullies!

What do you think - is this a good way to teach children a lesson? Or is it wrong to publicly expose them to teasing and humiliation?
