Gym addict: “I get up at 3am to exercise”

Maggie May Russell has a controversial figure, and she makes sacrifices to achieve it.

She spends 12 hours training a week, sticks to a rigid diet and never drinks.

Maggie, 20, admits: “I spend most of my life in the gym, as I love training and I work in one too as a receptionist.

"I only have one cheat day a week, when I’ll let myself eat pizza. I’m addicted, but it’s a healthier addiction than drugs or smoking.

"I’ve got a big bum because I do lots of squats, but I love that my figure is muscley and feminine.”

As a teenager Maggie, from Queensland, Australia, weighed nearly 13st and, at 5ft 4, was classed as overweight.

She says: “I was bullied for not fitting in and felt insecure.

"One day I decided to get a grip - I joined a gym and went running on the treadmill for an hour five times a week.

"I cut out crisps and chocolate too, and lost a stone in three weeks."
