The world was blown away when Adele dropped her heart wrenching new single ‘Hello’ last month, and the single went on to break records in every possible way.

But one girl decided to take Adele’s heart breaking lyrics and use them in a hilarious texting prank.

Mary Calderella from Atlanta sent the now famous lyrics to her ex boyfriend, tricking him into thinking that she wanted to get back together.

The conversation was shared on Twitter where it garnered over 14,000 retweets and 20,000 ‘likes’.

Mary shared on social media whilst simply writing: “When the ex falls for Adele lyrics.”

She started the chat with Adele’s passionate chorus lyric: “Hello from the other side”.

Her ex responded amazingly with: “Hey you.”

When Mary typed the next lyric “I must have called a thousand times” her ex, known only as Matt, became slightly confused.

He suggested that she was using the wrong number.

Obviously slightly irritated by the wind up, Mary’s ex angrily ended the exchange with: “Last time I asked if we could go on a date when I came to Auburn, you told me to go f*** myself.”
