Passengers on board the double decker sightseeing bus recalled ‘blood all over the floor’ after the bus hit trees as it was travelling down Woburn Place in Bloomsbury.

After a noise that sounded like a ‘bomb had gone off’ there was ‘chaos’ according to witnesses, with four passengers being rushed to a local hospital in London.

The Golden Tours bus was travelling close to Tavistock Square when the incident occurred at 1PM Monday, the site of the 2007 bomb attack on a London bus.

Although the injuries sustained during the incident were ‘non life-threatening,’ London Air Ambulance as well as firefighters attended the scene, and even lowered one passenger down from the top deck.

One passenger said: ‘There was a big band and a piece of the bus fell on my back.’

Golden Tours operate several trips in and around the capital, as well as to Stonehenge, Paris and beyond.
