Whether it’s a weekend break or a family getaway, getting started early by treating yourself to a pre-flight glass of bubbles in Wetherspoons or making the most of the discount makeup in duty free is all part of our summer holidays.
Yep, we love a leisurely mooch around the airport waiting to jet off into the sunset.
Which is why we’re always ready to check in and get though security hours before our flight.
But if you’re a frantically-running-through-the-airport-ticket-in-hand type - and you fly with EasyJet – you may want to take a leaf out of our book.
According to the budget airline's new legislation, you’ll need to be ready to board 30 minutes before your flight, or else it’s a long trip home for an unplanned staycation.
Yikes.
Gatwick airport are taking this VERY seriously, and are even set to update security gates to alert if you’ve missed the 30 minute mark as you try and get through.
Unlucky sun seekers who miss their flight will have a chance to board another one, but it will cost them £80.
Seems like a nice way for EasyJet to up their earnings, right?
What do you make of the new leglislation?
