Briggs Fussy and Brittney Husbyn met when they were two years old and reunited over a decade later in ninth grade at Blaine High School.

In the nature of a true love story the couple of Mankato, who reunited in the school north of Minneapolis, tied the knot over the weekend.

After serving at their relative’s wedding they didn’t see each other for 15 years.

Briggs told Minneapolis TV channel, KMSP: "She turned around one day in class and said 'I think I have a picture of you on my wall at home’.

"It's funny how God's plan came into place. I didn't even know her before she turned around in class and told me that.”

Briggs said he remembers "little glimpses" of the day he and his future wife first met.

He continued: "I'm standing up there straight, and Brittney's running around, making commotion.”

However Brittney recollection of the same events was that she only remembered his unique name.

Brittney added: “It was funny, the first time I ever went over to his house his mom whipped a picture off her wall and said ‘I've had a picture of you up in my house forever'

“It's fun to have something special like that to look back on.”

The newlyweds, both 22, got married in Coon Rapids, after five years of dating.
