Air hostess Sian was paired with Nick Parmenter, 28, and incredibly the couple hit it off immediately.
Now, after dating since August, they can’t wait to enjoy the festive season together.
Sian, 24, from Surrey, says: “I’d been single for two years after a couple of year-long relationships and decided to apply for First Dates on a whim.
"I’d watched the show and thought it would be a laugh, but I was also hoping to find someone I’d get along with.
"I'd used dating apps like Tinder in the past, but I found they're full of weirdos.
"I’d had a couple of serious relationships before, but I’d never met The One and I felt ready to meet someone special.
“I wasn’t nervous before the date, but I arrived at the restaurant first and while I was sat at the bar having a drink I was starting to get butterflies in my stomach.
“When Nick walked in I thought he was really good-looking, and I loved that he was an Essex boy. I definitely fancied him.
"He seemed very nervous at first and kept muddling his words, but as soon as we started chatting he relaxed and it went well.
“We talked about our past relationships and we’d both been single for around the same time.
"It was nice to meet someone who was ready for a serious relationship and wasn’t looking for a one-night stand, plus we had amazing chemistry.
"I completely forgot the cameras were there! We watched the show back together - it was so cringey!"
First Dates Christmas special airs 17 Dec at 9pm on Channel 4.
