Creators Laurent Simon and Aidan McClure revealed that they came up with the idea of the story of the bear and hare.

The premise is that the bear misses Christmas every year, so in an effort to insure that the bear doesn’t miss out again, the hare sets about creating an amazing Christmas especially for him.

The advert made Lily Allen's cover of 'Somewhere Only We Know' a no.1 hit.

The creative duo along with their animation team explored mixed-media techniques, eventually settling on a mixture of classic sketches and stop-motion animation.

With lots of time and effort the clever film makers succeeded in creating an original and immensely popular Christmas ad for the department store.

Laurent Simon and Aidan McClure were the brains behind the ad.

The advert featured Lily Allen covering Keane's 'Somewhere Only We Know' which went straight to no.1.
