Ben Needham disappeared on 24th July 1991 when he was just 21 months old.

Ever since that fateful day her little boy vanished, Kerry Needham has campaigned tirelessly for police to continue investigating Ben’s disappearance.

Now she needs our help, in a desperate bid to track down a woman who was spotted filming her son shortly before he disappeared.

On Twitter, a message from the official Find Ben Needham page reads: “Did you stay in this hotel in the summer of 1991?

“Did you see Kerry with Ben at work?

“Did you see anyone acting strangely around Ben?

“Do you remember playing with Ben?

“Do you have any photographs / videos from your stay there in 1991?”

The message continued: “Christine Needham (Ben’s grandmother) noticed a woman taking video footage of Ben as he played by the pool at the Palm Beach Hotel in June or July 1991, before he went missing.

“She was anything from 30 - 45 years old, with long blonde hair tied up.

“From her accent, Christine believes she was Scandinavian.

“This person has not been traced.”

It finished powerfully: “There are only photographs of Ben - no video - so any footage could be vital in the search for Ben.

“If people in the Scandinavian countries remember being in Kos in June / July 1991, please search your attics or shelves for the footage.”

Earlier this year, South Yorkshire Police secured £700,000 of Home Office funding to fund an investigation into his disappearance.

In May, an appeal made on Greek TV led to more than 200 calls and emails being received by the force - and police have now confirmed that they are investigating several ‘very interesting’ new leads.
