A Spanish couple, who are father and daughter, are fighting for custody of their daughter, after she was taken away from them an hour after birth.

But Cris, who is 18 years older than his daughter Sara, has vowed to fight for the return of his baby daughter- who is biologically also his granddaughter.

Speaking about the relationship with his teenage daughter- who had his baby aged just 17, he told Spanish publication Cronica Balear:

“Our relationship started like they all do, with flirting, getting along and then trust.

“We are father and daughter but she never has seen me as a father because, more than a father, I have been a friend.”

And he blames his ex wife- mother of his daughter and girlfriend Sara, for authorities getting involved in their relationship.

Kris claims he was living happily with Sara until a month and a half before the birth of their baby, when he says Sara's mother reported the pair to social services.

“My ex-wife is jealous and cannot understand the relationship. So she is trying to destroy it,” argues Cris.

Incest is not illegal in Spain, but the pair have faced much controversy since their story surfaced.

However this doesn't appear to bother the father- and new grandfather.

“I respect their opinion but I do not care”, he says.
