Next week every date will be the same backwards.
It’s one of those things that probably only happens every few million years (unconfirmed) so it’s worth getting a little bit excited about, right?
But you have to use the dates the American way for the magic to occur. So month, date, year rather than date, month, year.
Example:
Mind blowing, isn’t it?
So next week we give you permission to pretend to be all American and stuff so you can have fun with dates.
ICYDK the official term for this date amazingness is a palindrome and it’s not just dates.
Any words, phases or sequences of characters that are the same backwards as forwards is a palindrome.
Another example:
“Cigar? Toss it in a can. It is so tragic”
And before you get all technical on us, allowances are made for punctuation and word dividers.
We challenge you to come up with your own palindromes and post them in the comment box below!
