Broadcast journalist Dan Lobb was minding his own business on a one hour Easyjet flight to Belfast when his flight failed to take off.
After waiting for some time, Dan heard an announcement over the tannoy from the captain, who explained that they were delayed because several members of the cabin crew had got into a disagreement.
Dan live tweeted his ordeal.
Dan explained that the plane had been taxiing but actually had to turn around and go back to the gate because of the scale of the dispute.
The passengers were left bemused with the reason their flight was delayed for one and a half times the flight time.
Dan tweeted: ‘Loads of kids on this flight, a few babies – what a ridiculous situation. Captain doing his best but everyone is agog!
‘This is quite incredible. We’ve all worked with people we don’t get on with right? But this tiff means a 1hr flight is delayed!!’
He also said: ‘They just don’t like each other!! A disagreement over unwrapping water bottles or something!’
An easyjet Spokeswoman told the Metro: ‘easyJet can confirm that flight EZY835 from London Gatwick to Belfast returned to stand to replace two crew members following a verbal disagreement between them.
‘The safety and welfare of our passengers and crew is easyJet’s highest priority and in order to deliver this easyJet’s cabin crew need to be able to work as a team.
‘We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by the resulting delay. The flight has now continued to Belfast.’
