We’ve been treated to some very soggy and chilly weather over the past few months.
And we’d just started getting used to the idea that we were going to be stuck in woolly tights, boots and jumpers forever.
But, as it turns out, things are set to change in a VERY big way this Easter.
Yup, spring is well and truly on the way - and we couldn’t be more excited about it.
The Met Office are predicting temperatures in double figures for the next 10 days, with temperatures of 15C on the way.
And it seems as if Easter weekend is going to be even better, with some independent forecasters predicting a 19C heatwave for the bank holiday.
So why the sudden change in the weather? Not that we’re complaining, obviously…
Netweather forecaster Nick Finnis explained to the Express: "We haven't seen much of it over the last few months, but high pressure looks set to dominate our weather for the next 7 to 10 days, so expect plenty of dry and settled weather.
"Although there will be sunny spells for many, we can't promise wall-to-wall sunshine and it won't be mild everywhere either, with cooler conditions towards the southeast and milder conditions towards the northwest.
"But for those who've had enough of rain and wind, the coming days will be welcome."
However, while it may be tempting to toss all your winter clothes in the bin, it’s worth being cautious.
The Met Office have said that temperatures are set to be slightly BELOW average after Easter weekend.
They explain: “As we head into early April, there is a very high degree of uncertainty, although there is likely to be significant swings in weather type and temperatures through the period, as often the case at this time of year.”
Hmm.
Either way, it’s a far cry from the snowy White Easter they predicted for us just a few weeks ago; we’ll take whatever warmth we can, we think!
What do you think - will we have a hot Easter 2016, or a cold and snowy one?
