The video, which was posted on his Facebook page, has almost 3 million views, and over 500 comments, being captioned ‘motivation rant’.
But with Burk starting piece with ‘I’m not going to accept you for who you are…your personality may be beautiful but your body is not’ there has been immediate uproar and we are not surprised.
Burk’s general message is that he will not accept people who are overweight: ‘when I sit there and look at somebody that’s overweight, no. I find that utterly repulsive and disgusting’’ stating being fat is just ‘sheer laziness’.
Motivation rant: welcome to the revolution, and why I do what I do. There's a better life out there for us all. My goal is to ignite a fire that sweeps across the world that causes people to look up and realize that happiness and greatness is only a mindset away! If this helps you, or you think it could help someone you know, share it and help me revolutionize societies way of thinking!IG: johnburk1YouTube: burkzerker19Periscope: John Burk#inthearena #fuckfailure #gruntstyle > >

Claiming he does it out of love, Burk doesn’t seem to care if people think he’s an ‘a**hole’, and obviously many have been offended by his video.
Some responded with comments such as: ‘I actually hate the way he said it! I mean yeh it isn’t healthy and all that but he did not have to say it repulses him to look at a fat person’.
Somehow we feel screaming ‘you’re fat’ and ‘lazy’ at those who struggle to motivate themselves will not be the most successful solution….
