Gypsy, who is just 8-months-old, escaped after the garden gate was left open at her home in Andover, Hampshire, whilst her owner was at work.
Jane Alywiye arrived home to discover that her beloved dog was gone, and began to panic.
Meanwhile, Gypsy had fallen down the railway embankment and come to rest on a ledge high above the Salisbury to London railway line.
Thankfully, her frantic barking attracted the attention of passers-by, who then informed her worried owner where Gypsy was.
Firefighters were called to rescue the dog, one of whom had to be lowered down on a rope to collect her.
We're glad to see Gypsy safe and sound!
