A pair of sliders being sold by online retailer ASOS have cause a stir on social media.

The black sandals which spell out ‘DOPE’ appear to be relatively bog-standard and ‘on trend’, but ASOS failed to notice a MASSIVE flaw in the design.

What happens when you cross your legs?

Yep. The shoes no longer spell out ‘DOPE’. They spell out ‘PEDO’.

Not exactly a word that ANYONE wants to wear emblazoned on their person under any circumstances!

ASOS have refused to comment on the matter, but according to Metro they insist that ‘pedo’ is not a word.

Technically they are right, but would you really want to wear sandals that spell out ‘pedo’?

The shoes are still on sale- but do you want to buy them now? (ASOS)

The shoes are still available to buy on the website, but have been reduced from £50 to £30.

Something tells us that ASOS might have to reduce the price a bit more in order to shift them!
